Greetings Your Excellencies, Dignitaries, Ambassadors, Clergyman, Officials, and Brothers and Sisters of Ethiopia and Eretria. It is with great pride and dignity that Afrikan Unity of Harlem, Inc. today has this opportunity to communicate with you about ways we together can work in community to save our future generations of children which will lead to the collective same for our beloved continent.  

You are called this day to gather in a historical and note praiseworthy meeting to discuss the current situations that are penetrating the Horn of Afrika in the regions known today as Ethiopia and Eritrea that are causing we here in the Diaspora to not work nor sit together as one Afrikan family, gathered for the overall wellbeing of our societies. We know for a fact that all Afrikans regardless of the difference of our language, religion, or place of birth all share in a combined experience known to the world as the, “Scramble for Afrika”, which occurred shortly after the Berlin Conference of 1884. When International Law declared the “European Slave Trade of Afrikan People”, to be inhumane and violated human dignity and  violated  humanity as some 700 million plus Afrikan people where forced to migrate to build and civilize foreign countries, which opened the gate for colonial territorial claim for Afrika. 

In the late nineteenth century, European imperial powers engaged in a major territorial scramble and occupied most of the continent, creating many colonial nation states, seizing Afrikan lands which placed Afrikan people AUH Logo
