It does not matter if we as a people had conflicts with each other in the land, it matter most when others from outside the land, non Afrikan people who then came in to the land and decide for themselves to take our resources. We have seen much war, famine, unjust and inhumane acts thrown on the backs of our children from generation to generation. However, we can not just end there for we through our own peoples of power allowed such business trade to accrue and we too must look inward to solve the real issue. The colonization and the capturing of our men and women reportedly started in 1441 with Portuguese captains Antão Gonçalves and Nuno Tristão who capture 12 Africans in Cabo Branco (modern Mauritania) and took them to Portugal as slaves. We must keep in mind that in the 700 hundreds Arab invaded our land, gave us a false Islam just as the European who gave us a false Christianity only to enslave our people. It was at these times that we began to lose control of our people, land and resources to be colonized and enslaved to work and forced our resources to be exploited over seas.
